Best in the game
I have worked the trades as well as a lot of home repairs that required wearing knee pads. I have gone through quite a few pairs of knee pads and tried quite a few of the various brands that are available. Because of the rugged work in the trades, the knee pads typically had to be heavy duty... Which often equates to "Heavy"... Which in turn typically equals to the knee pads working their way down the chin away from the knees.I have put these Super Soft Upgraded double strap knee pads to some pretty rugged tests working on concrete surface, flooring, RV roof, etc and they are holding up better than I expected. I thought the leather would degrade pretty fast... But that hasn't happened.I find these to be quite comfortable, easy to put on, and when installed, I typically apply a reasonable amount of tightness when I hook the velco straps and that pretty much does the trick to keep them in place without cutting off circulation in my legs... I really like where the thigh straps and shin straps are located.I gave these knee pads 5 stars because they are so much better than all the other knee pads I have used over the years!!!I do have a suggestion that I would like to see the manufacturer make a slight adjustment to the make up of the knee pad component. When installed with the knee pad strapped on as high as it will go, as soon as you kneel down, the top of the knee pad moves slightly downward, slightly exposing the knee to the surface of the working platform (concrete surface, wood flooring, etc...)I think the front knee pad can be left with straps where they are, but make the top of the knee pads longer by one to two inches. That extension will bend over slightly when the user kneels down and help to ensure full knee coverage. That would make these knee pads more perfect. That extra padding extension might need to be a bit thicker... But even at the same thickness as the rest of the knee pad it would still be better than not having the extension at all. Thanks to the manufacturer for providing the upgraded double strap leather knee pads and i look forward to seeing an extension added to the top of the knee pad... But! Don't move the straps!!! They are great where they are at now!
Pads last longer Than Other Brands
Muy buena calidad y comodidad recomendadas al 100%
A mi esposo le encantaron dice con son muy cómodas y ayudan mucho cuando trabajas todo el día arrodillado
Comfortable knee pads. I like that there is only one strap and it doesn’t ride hard into the joint. So far have been using these pads for several months without complaint. One note they are not the best for walking upright as they will slip down and need adjusted prior to kneeling but the overall comfort was worth it for me
Good
These are great knee bands my husband is a carpenter and he said they work great
These are actually very well done. There are a couple of Brands out there which are copies which aren't anywhere near as good. The original was done by Troxel which I used for years. These I think are actually even a little bit better built than those and you can replace the cushion on the inside of the knee pad.Value for the money the knee protection is all great.sizes perfect. I do most of my floor work in shorts anyway so it doesn't cut into my leg it's very comfortable. As a person who has spent over 30 years of doing floor covering... and don't have any issues. This type knee pad is part of the reason why
Muy cómodas y no estorban ni tampoco son pesadas son muy buenas aparte son relabables muy fácil
These are a really nice quality set of knee pads and will definitely get plenty of use in the garden department.
(See ratings explanation below the review)I got some knee pads from this same manufacturer which didn't have the thigh strap. I didn't rate them highly because, while they were comfortable, they kept slipping down. I had them in extreme circumstances as I was planking through my tight crawlspace to level our house. When I got these, I went back under the houst to finish the job... What a difference! These stayed in place the whole time without having to adjust once! Very comfortable. The only reason they don't have 5 stars is that they seem a bit expensive. But! I sure am glad I got them because 4 hours under the house wouldn't have been doable without them.My ratings system:5 stars...... I'm blown away by quality & value... a must buy! (I rarely give this)4 stars..... Pleasantly surprised, better than expected3 stars..... as advertised, got what I expected, any pros/cons balanced2 stars..... a little disappointed, I had hoped for better1 star ..... avoid, waste of time and money, junk (I rarely give this)
Nice large coverage super soft knee protection. The straps stay put so that the knee pads stay where they should be. Comfortable to work with them on all day long, put them on in the morning and take them off at the end of the day. Tough leather protection where you want it. These are the best knee pads I have ever used amazing comfortable durable!!
I appreciate that these are soft pads with leather instead of hard plastic. The soft pad makes it so that the knee pad doesn't slide and roll out as much from under my knees. I feel more stable in them. I was worried that the leather would be too soft, but I sat there and tried to scratch them up and they did not mark up easily.
These knee pads are a far step up from the foam pads they replaced. They strap in place both above and below the knee with broad hook-and-loop strips on the front of the pads and have leathery wear pads on the elastic fabric. The knee pads are designed left and right, but user’s choice as to which pad is left and which is right. A foam knee cushion is zipped inside the pads.Wearing the pads over pants does feel a bit sloppy and they can slip down, but not so much as my prior pair. They are quite suitable for use with shorts. I certainly appreciate the relative softness of these pads with my old knees, especially when working on the floor, or the car, or construction… I would add gardening but I would rather keep these beauties for indoor tasks.Full disclosure: I ordered these Hmyl Easy Super Soft Knee Pads for Work through the Amazon Vine program. As a user of the product, I have done my best to provide an honest review.
They do a great job at providing cushion, but they make my legs hot. I'm willing to take the hot knees over the abuse these prevent though. They stay in place well, and have been holding up through this floor tile job so far.
This pair of very comfortable knee pads will not pinch or bind up your skin behind the knees or restrict your blood flow…you know what I’m saying if you’ve ever used a cheap pair. This means that you can accomplish more without having to stop because of discomfort and pain. They also stay in place because of the upper Velcro strap above the knee that works in tandem with the lower Velcro strap below the knee, again meaning you can accomplish more without needing to readjust etc focusing more time on the job at hand. These are comfortable, ergonomically designed and will help you accomplish more without having to deal with the problems of sub-par old knee pads.Highly recommended for super comfort, great value and as a solution for those who expect more in knee protection without having to constantly fuss in pain while getting a task completed.
Considerations:-These are made with a soft leather that isn’t ideal for dirty jobs or kneeling on rough surfaces which can damage the material. However, they are good for average home use.-The inserts don’t naturally form to the shape of the knee and takes a couple hours to get them really comfortable and to break them in.-The double straps didn’t really hold them in place for my legs. I still found I was pulling them up constantly.-I like how these adjust and how easy they are to get on and off. The velcro is strong.-I was working on the floor for 2 hours and didn't have any knee pain while using these.
Bottom line: These are the most comfortable knee pads I’ve used, and I’ve used lots of them over the years.Comfort in a knee pad assumes that they stay in place whether on my knees or walking to the next kneeling location. Most designs I’ve used creep down onto my shins as I walk, but because these strap both above and below the knee, there is zero creep. And this arrangement puts less pressure behind my knee as I’m kneeling, which also aids comfort. The outer knee-cap cover is of a soft pliable material that also adds to comfort, but I was initially concerned that, because it is soft, it might wear through. I suppose that may happen — eventually — but so far, so good. I’ve been laying tile on rough exterior concrete, and the outer caps are holding up much better than I expected. I’m no longer worried about durability. The included stuff sack was welcome lagniappe. It keeps these knee pads from getting tangled with other gear in my tool buckets, and it keeps the two pads together. No more getting to a work site and finding only one knee pad.Given that comfort increases productivity — especially when it comes to knee pads — I consider these a wise investment.Hope this helps. Clear skies!
I've been wearing the previous version of these Hyml knee pads, which do not have the upper thigh strap, for well over a year now, and they still look new and are holding up very well. The synthetic leather covering is very durable, much moreso than I expected, and they do stay clean. Often other knee pads I've worn tend to collect smelly water, dog hairs, and all kinds of stuff, but these do not. I also love the way the velcro straps extend all the way across the front. That way they never come loose. However, those older kneepads have had a tendency to fall down when walking, and move around when crawling on the floor, especially when wearing pants. Because of that, when I saw this new version with the upper thigh strap, I immediately ordered them.Well, after wearing these for the past 4 days, installing dishwashers and hooking up sinks, I absolutely love them! These are the most comfortable knee pads I've ever used, and the extra thigh strap really puts them over the top. I spend a lot of time on the floor sitting on my feet, and they are very comfortable, and do not restrict circulation. In fact because of the upper thigh strap, all of the straps can be left a little bit looser than normal, and the material is very soft. Even walking from the jobsite to my truck many times, they do not fall down, which always has been a problem with most knee pads I've used in the past.I've also tried these with shorts, and they are very comfortable on skin. Depending on the length of your shorts, the upper strap can either go under the shorts, or on top of them.So whether you're a professional tradesman, or work around your home and garden, I highly recommend these improved Hmyl knee pads. They are a bit pricey at $55 when I ordered them, but considering how well my other ones are lasting, I think they are well worth the asking price. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
They have a good amount of padding and I like the fact that it's replaceable. The outer material is very soft and I don't think it would hold up on abrasive materials. The strap keeps them in place nicely, but I don't like where it sits. The strap goes in the crease of my leg and it is irritating/ hurts after a while.
If they last would buy again
These pads will do a very good job of padding your knees. They well made, are durable, and stay on well unless you crawl around in them a lot. They are much better than another pair I had.The one thing I don't like is that they are wider than I need. They tend to brush against each other a bit as I walk. I would prefer if they were a little narrower.Overall, a very good product, especially for bigger people.
